NOW MORE THAN EVER, WE MUST SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES
The Wood River Valley is reeling from the after-effects of the Beaver Creek Fire. Everyone has been impacted in so many ways. Our local economy has taken another hit which translates to working families and individuals struggling to make ends meet. Our businesses need customers now more than ever.
We can help! Every dollar we spend locally recirculates through our economy. The next time you consider shopping online, why not think about your working friends and neighbors who depend on the local economy? Surely we can find ways to spend more at home.
For those making your Twin or Boise shopping runs, please think about how you can divert some of those shopping dollars locally.
IF EVERYONE DIVERTED JUST A LITTLE MORE OF THEIR SHOPPING DOLLARS TO LOCAL BUSINESSES IT COULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.
Our resort economy needs tourists (customers) to thrive.
A group of citizens aiming to increase tourism and jobs in the community have stepped forward to campaign for a 1% increase in the local option tax in Ketchum, a ballot measure that will come before city voters in the November election. The Ketchum Tourism and Jobs Initiative formed because increased air service plays a pivotal role in increasing tourism in the WR Valley.
- Help keep local jobs in the valley
- ncrease tourism, enabling local businesses to grow
- Make the WR Valley a more attractive place to do business. It will encourage new businesses to locate here and allow our local businesses to grow and create new jobs.
